Elias did not win the match but certainly the right to have a feud of challenging matches with the 16 th WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

The show opens with John Cena receiving a warm welcome from the usually hostile Chicago crowd. A safe bet is this is a kid-heavy crowd with many being given tickets to Raw for a Christmas gift today.

Cena takes a moment to give his shirt and hat to a child in the audience who is wearing his old orange and blue gear. That's a great memory that kid will cherish for the rest of his life. A Merry Christmas chant starts up and Cena says it's the first time he has heard that chant because this is WWE's first live show on Christmas.

Cena says Elias is a jerk and Elias seems to have a change of heart. He asks if he can try his song again with the proper lyrics. Cena gives him one more chance because it's Christmas. Elias tells Cena to take over and suddenly decks him right in the face, knocking Cena out with one shot to the chin. Then Elias seeing his opportunity to score over a "W"over john Cena , proposes a match against the 16th WWE World Heavyweight champion.

ELIAS TELLS CENA TO TAKE OVER AND THEN HE DECKS HIM RIGHT IN THE FACE KNOCKING HIM OUT COLD INTO THE MAT.

Elias calls for a referee and the bell rings while Cena is still groggy lying on the mat. He takes the fight right to Cena still reeling from the sneak attack dealt to him at the top of the show, jumping right on Cena and starts beating him with series of fore arm punches to the face. Elias Samson with a big jumping Elbow Drop.Then unloading and taking him in the corner for more strikes. A big left into Cena's guts let Cena moaning in the corner. As Cena gets up on his feet Elias hits a stiff right to knock Cena on his butt again. Cena starts to fight back with a few punches and a hip toss. Then he takes Elias down in a sidelock and keep Elias grounded. Elias fights out of the headlock and as they stand up, stumps Cena's feet who jump backward under the pain, then connects nailing a hard elbow to the face which lays Cena on the apron.

Elias shows off his power playing with Cena like with a rag doll by throwing Cena halfway across the ring. He gets some two counts with two big Bodyslams Toss letting Cena screaming on the mat as the dumfounded crowd cheered . Then Elias scoops Cena again. he turns him upside down in the corner putting him in the Tree of Woe and hits a double stomp to the chest from the top rope for another two count. Elias keep Cena grounded with an arm twist as the referee checks on him. Cena gets to his feet and fights out of the hold showing a little life, but he runs right into Elias' boot in the corner and goes down again. Elias puts him back in the Tree of Woe for another double stomp, but Cena avoids the impact and lays Elias out with a big clothesline.

Elias looks surprise by the relative easiness he has succeed to impose his power domination on the WWE World Heavyweight champion untill now, but also starts to get frustrated after failing to keep Cena down for a three count. He has to keep control tightening the pressure over an already weakened adversary . Elias grabs a standing back Cena lifting him up, and nails his patented knee pendulum back breaker for another two count. Cena is down but kick out at two. Elias with more offense and hitting another knee back breaker and another pin attempt but Cena kicks off again.
