The former WWE Champion started his day by meeting with a Make-A-Wish child and his family. The two shared a few laughs and the Champ offered some WWE merchandise.

Then it was off to the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards, where Cena shared hosting duties for the event with music, theater and television star Nathalie Bassingthwaighte.
During the ceremony, Cena took home "Fave Sports Star" honors in front of the energized crowd and thanked them for their votes. After wrapping the ceremony, Cena met with more fans before calling it a night.

Chris Jericho attempted to hijack World Heavyweight Champion John Cena’s return to Raw. Cena then gave Jericho an opportunity to confront him face-to-face, coming out to a thunderous reception from all those in attendance.
After the first-ever Undisputed Champion once again stated his intention to beat Cena at Armageddon The Champ snapped. The World Heavyweight Champion proceeded to brutalize Jericho, throwing him against the announce table, bludgeoning him with the steel stairs and finally locking him into an STFU.

Kane makes his way to the ring first. Cena's music hits and out comes the World Heavyweight Champion to a pretty nice pop from the DC fans. ...Kane backs Cena in the corner to start the match and beats him to the mat. Cena fires back with right hands and a shoulder off the ropes. Kane drops Cena with a big clothesline. Big right hand by Kane drops Cena again. Kane pulls Cena to the apron and knocks him to the floor. Back in the ring and Kane gets a 2 count. Kane splashes Cena in the corner and locks on a headlock. Cena fights to his feet and tries to lift Kane but can't. Dropkick by Kane for another close 2 count. Kane applies another headlock, working on Cena's neck. Cena fights to his feet again and breaks the hold. Kane catches Cena with a big sidewalk slam for another 2 count. Kane goes to the top rope and gets ready to fly. Cena ducks Kane and locks on the STFU. Chris Jericho runs down and Cena clotheslines him on the ramp. Cena throws Jericho into the barrier and gets back in the ring. Big boot by Kane to Cena's face. Kane signals for the chokeslam but Cena kicks him and takes him to the mat. Kane grabs his throat again but Cena slides out of it. Cena nails the FU on Kane for the pinfall and the win.

Chris Jericho could not stop World Heavyweight Champion John Cena, who retained his title by making Jericho submit with the STFU.

In a match filled with reversals and near falls, these two battle-hardened ring warriors put it all on the line. Several times, one Superstar appeared to have the match won, but inevitably, they would escape from the clutches of their opponent. The WWE Universe held their breath as Cena powered out of the Walls of Jericho, and Jericho miraculously landed an attempted FU. In the end, however, the intensity of the World Heavyweight Champion won out, as he locked Jericho into an STFU for the win.

We came back to a total mele in the ring. Cena went for an FU on Orton and had his eyes raked. Cena went for the FU on HBK on accident, and after a brief squabble, Orton came out of nowhere and decked Cena. Jericho tagged into the match and hit a body slam and some slaps before heading back to the corner. Orton tagged in and after hitting some stomps he tagged in Jericho.

Jericho slapped on a chin lock but Cena powered out and looked for an FU. Jericho countered out with a DDT before tagging in Orton. Orton smashed rights and lefts into the head of Cena before pushing him to the corner and choking him out. Jericho tagged in and after a brief scramble, was able to settle Cena down in a sleeper hold.

Cena eventually powered out of the hold before the fight went to the top rope. Cena pushed Jericho off the ropes and hit a big leg drop. He got to within a hand away for the hot tag, but Orton got to him just in time and began pounding away on his forehead. Cena eventually broke free and tagged Michaels, who starred him down.

Jericho jumped HBK and after eating knees on the lion sault attempt, gave HBK a receipt with some knees on the elbow drop. Jericho went for the Walls of Jericho but HBK rolled him up for a two count. Cena came in to block Orton and sent him directly into an HBK super kick. Jericho got one too and Cena backed off to allow HBK to get the pin.

If Michaels pulled out a win over The Champ, he would earn his boss an opportunity to compete for the World Heavyweight Title inside the Elimination Chamber at No Way Out. Though The Showstopper had the advantage of the self-proclaimed "wrestling god" being in his corner, he ultimately fell victim to Cena's intensity, failing to earn his employer one of the coveted No Way Out spots.
